Poor and Pretty Cupcake Soaps

Yesterday, I visited Sami of Poor and Pretty. She made Valentine's Day cupcake soaps and I was there to photograph them for her etsy shop. The cupcakes have little soap hearts inside of them as well as one on the top of the frosting. SO CUTE! And they smell great too. They make a perfect gift for Valentines day! I also photographed some other cupcake soaps, and here are my favorites from the day:

Mexican Birds

During my trip to Mexico I saw a ton of beautiful birds on the resort property. Unfortunately I didn't use my tripod for any of these photos so the quality isnt where I want it to be.

I'm pretty sure this is a Red-eyed Vireo--but not certain.

This bird is a san blas jay (Cyanocorax sanblasianus)

Marble Collegiate Church started putting ribbons on their fence in 2006 for the three year anniversary of the war in Iraq. They yellow ribbons represent the U.S. service members who have lost their lives, the blue represent the Iraqis and Afganis that lost their lives and the green represent the prayers. Its a very emotional sight to see.
